Big Ant Studio will release Ashes Cricket for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on November 16, 2017. The Australia-based developer named the game after ‘The Ashes’, a test series played between Australia and England.
The release is scheduled exactly a week prior to the beginning of The Ashes series 2017-18. The series will begin in Brisbane, Australia, on November 23, 2017.
The Australian game developed also released Don Bradman Cricket 17. Gamers remarked it as a complex game which takes a lot of time to master. The Ashes Cricket is expected to rectify the AI issues occurred in Don Bradman Cricket 17.
Big Ant Studio has worked with the England & Wales Cricket Board and Cricket Australia to create an innovative video game experience. The company stated the game will feature photo-realistic depiction of players of the English and Australian teams for both men and women. Moreover, it contains licensed stadiums where all the matches of the Ashes series will be played.
“We can’t wait for fans to get their hands on the game,” said Ross Symons, chief executive officer of Big Ant Studio. “We wanted this game to build on the years of experience that we’ve had in developing cricket games, and we’re thrilled with the results.”
The game includes a career mode where gamers choose a fresh and ambitious player. Gamers are required to lead through various ranks with an aim to represent his or her nation in the Ashes. It is interesting to see if the implementation of the idea will be accepted by the gamers.
Big Ant has not revealed any price tag for Ashes Cricket yet.
