The Most Anticipated Season of Fortnite is Now Released

Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, the world’s popular online video game, recently announced that its much-anticipated Season 8 is now available. It confirmed that the new season kicks off on all platforms on February 28, 2019.

The battle royale game comes up new with novel features, tools, and maps released every few months, keeping things interesting, gamers engaged, and the money pouring in. This is because every season in the game offers a Battle Pass costing about $10 and unlocks a pack of goodies such as skins and emote dance moves.

Season 8 brings with it some big changes. The theme is pirates with new skins that encompasses a huge banana suit, pirates and snakes, and pirate cannon. Cannons are able to dish out 100 damage in case there is a direct hit or use 50 damage of those in the impact area. The cannons can also help in firing players to new locations. The map is also a special feature in the game.

The Season 8 also features lava to the existing volcano. So, entering the lava spot gives players one damage point per touch and cause him to bounce off the surface. The volcanic vents push a player or vehicle into the air using a gust of hot air and allow him to use his glider and use them as permanent launch pads for him and his squad. A wide range of treasure can be found inside pirate ships. The ships are newly added elements where the cannons can be found. Other highlights of the Fortnite Season 8 include a fox and wooden dog pets, a great squid-in-a-boat glider.

Regarding the game play, a new feature is the ‘Party Assist’ mode. It allows players to bring their friends into Fortnite’s daily or weekly challenges which are essential to players as they reveal treasures including skins. Moreover, the players of Season 7 could earn a free Battle Pass for Season 8 by finishing the right challenges.

Apart from these newly added features, Epic Games has also included the extension of the somewhat comical ‘infinite dab’ feature from 11 hours to 12 hours. This implies that your character will keep dancing for more time when left in the lobby.

The Fortnite Season 8 battle pass is said to continue running for 10 weeks. And it will be completely free for those who completed 13 free overtime challenges, brings 100 brand new challenges, and over 100 new rewards. All the rewards received in the season 8 battle pass will be cosmetic that include skins, wraps, emotes, gliders, and much more.
