Huawei is known to be the largest communication technology infrastructure company and one of the biggest manufacturers of smartphones in China. The end-to-end line of products that it offers is both competitive and secure. The company has been making mobile phones for more than two decades now. Its latest and the most expensive smartphone called P30 Pro was launched in India recently.
Priced at Rs. 71,990, the Huawei P30 Pro phone comes in 8 GB and 256 GB variants. Its 3D curved glass at the front renders a premium appearance and feel to the device. The phone comes with a 6.47-inch Full HD+ OLED screen with a resolution of 1080*2340 pixels as well as thin bezels and curved edges. The is home to the front camera inside a water-drop notch along with a fingerprint scanner.
One of the major highlights of the smartphone is its cameras. It flaunts a quad-camera at its rear side with support for 5X optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and 50x digital zoom. The main camera comprises an f/1.6 aperture equipped 40 MP SuperSpectrum sensor with OIS, an f/2.2 aperture equipped 20 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a third f/3.4 aperture equipped 8MP periscope-style telephoto lens with lossless 50x digital zoom and OIS. The quad-camera arrangement is completed by a Time Of Flight (ToF) sensor. The front of the P30 Pro has a 32 MP sensor with Super HDR Shot and Super Low Light Shot.
The Huawei P30 Pro operates with an in-house Kirin 980 chipset which has an octa-core CPU processor and the Mali G76 GPU. The microchip is attached to 8 GB RAM and a storage option of 256 GB.
The smartphone is powered by a large 4,100 mAh battery supporting Huawei’s 40W SuperCharge fast charging technology. The available options for connectivity include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Type-C port, and NFC. It operates on an Android Pie-based EMUI 9.1 and includes face unlock along with in-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking.
Having a design similar to the Huawei P20 Pro, the Huawei P30 Pro is available in various colors such as breathing crystal, amber sunrise, aurora, pearl white, and black.
The smartphone is expected to go on sale through Amazon commencing from April 15, 2019. As part of the launch, Huawei and Amazon are offering deals such as no-cost EMIs, cashback, among others.
Huawei also recently launched an affordable smartphone called the P30 Lite. Available at a starting price of Rs. 19,990, the device features a 6.15-inch Full-HD+ LCD display, Kirin 710 SoC, two RAM/storage variants of 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB, triple camera setup at the back comprising a 24MP primary camera, 8MP secondary wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor lens, 32MP front camera, and a 3,340 mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging.
